Reception at the residence of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco
On July 30, Morocco celebrates its most important national holiday – Throne Day. It was on this day in 1999 that the King of Morocco, Mohammed VI, was crowned. The full name of the monarch is Mohammed ibn al-Hassan bin Mohammed.
In addition to the day associated with the coronation, Throne Day is a symbol of the unity and independence of the Kingdom of Morocco. On this day, military parades are held throughout the country and festive music is played. The King delivers an annual address.
